We understand your product because we build them ourselves

Lumaris Studio was founded by technical people who got frustrated with video agencies that couldn't keep up. Our founder still leads teams at Microsoft. Our co-founder writes code and edits video. Our team includes developers who validate every technical concept before it reaches your audience.

How Lumaris Studio was born

Three YouTube channels. One recurring problem. A market that was desperate for a solution.

  • Learnify Tutorials: Marko started his first YouTube channel as a junior developer - tutorials on HTML and CSS. The channel is still online. He stopped because he realized he didn't have enough knowledge yet to teach effectively.
  • RustIng: Years later, after landing a role working with Rust, he went deep - reading every book, absorbing every resource - and started a second channel to share what he'd learned. That channel ran for six months before work pulled him away.
  • Marko Code Academy: The third channel covered C# and JavaScript, drawing on nearly a decade of enterprise development experience. This time, Marko and Ljubica edited the videos themselves.

"Editing videos for our own channels was the reason we got into the game of tech video editing. It was obvious to us that the pain was huge and market need was real."

The problem

Across all three channels, one problem kept recurring: finding video editors who could handle technical content.

Generic editors didn't understand the material. They couldn't create meaningful animations that actually explained concepts. They needed constant hand-holding — "What's an API?" "Can you explain this architecture diagram?" — and still delivered first drafts full of inaccuracies.

The "cheaper" editors cost more in time than they saved in money. The expensive ones still didn't understand the audience.

The solution

Ljubica had an unusual background: she was a trained video editor with years of programming experience. She understood both the technical concepts and how to present them visually.

In early 2024, they decided to test a hypothesis. Marko sent 20 cold emails to tech YouTubers, offering video editing services that combined technical understanding with professional production quality.

Five responded. All five became clients.

A 20% close rate on cold outreach told them everything they needed to know: the market was desperate for this exact service.

Building the team

Rather than scale immediately, they focused on learning. What did technical creators actually need? What were the common pain points? How could they build a repeatable process?

  • We hired editors:  and trained them on technical concepts. Developer team was scaling due to the need dictated from our own products (like EditWise) and external customers. But they are now essential part of our video editing workflows because they can all validate accuracy of our videos. They built systems that ensured consistency across every project.
  • By early 2025: we were working with some of the largest tech education channels on YouTube - Code with Antonio, Tech World with Nana, JS Mastery - delivering videos with 95-99% retention rates and 13%+ click-through rates.

"Scaling from 2 to 16 editors was a nightmare. So I had to build us a tool that will allow us to scale without living in the office 7 days a week. That is how EditWise was born."

Building the infrastructure

As the client base grew, so did operational complexity. The project management tools available were built for generic creative agencies, not technical production teams.

So Marko did what any engineer would do: he built something better.

EditWise launched in November 2025 - a project management platform designed specifically for video production agencies. Branded client dashboards. Transparent time tracking. Real-time project visibility. Within months, over 400 agencies worldwide were using it.

Today, EditWise powers Lumaris Studio's operations, giving clients enterprise-grade transparency and professionalism that no other video agency can match.

Where we are now

Lumaris Studio is what Marko and Ljubica wished existed when they were creating technical content: a video production team that understands complex products without explanation, delivers accurate first drafts, and operates with the professionalism of a SaaS company.

The team has grown. The portfolio has expanded. The results speak for themselves.

But the mission hasn't changed: give technical companies a video partner that actually understands their world.
